That’s how much money we raised during Saturday’s Fashion Show to benefit Hope and Help Center of Central Florida. It feels amazing to give back to the community like that and it couldn’t have been done without you.

This Saturday is the annual AIDS Walk Orlando which also benefits Hope and Help. The money raised on Saturday counts towards MUM’s contribution to the AIDS Walk. So far we are the team with the highest amount raised. We are not that far ahead of the second place team though and need everyone’s continued support to help rise more.

We don’t have much time, so every second counts. Ask you friends, family members, co-workers, employers, and anyone you can for a donation. Then go to aidswalkorlando.org to register your donation and specify that you are with Men Uniting Men.

The Fashion Show this past weekend was AMAZING! I hope all of you were there. MUM raised over $3,500 for Hope and Help of Central Florida. Thanks for everyone’s support! You can see the pictures in the photos section of our website.

MUM is having a movie night this Wednesday at 7pm. We are watching the movie about Pedro (from the Real World). We rented out the movie theater at one of our members apartment complexes. Bring drinks and snacks to share. Park Central Apartments at the intersection of John Young Pkwy and Conroy. Tell the guard you are coming to see Mustafa. You can contact Mustafa at (407) 694-0137 if you need directions once you get to the apartment complex.

Also, dont forget. This coming weekend is the AIDS Walk Orlando. Every year MUM gets together and marches for this great event! We raise money to help and we walk to represent! We have friends that are affected or infected with this disease…. let’s make a difference. If you need a donation envelope, please let us know. Meet us there at 8:30 in front of the DJ Booth, Lake Eola, Downtown.

Hey Guys! Welcome to our new members who just signed up! We are having a meeting tonight for the first time ever at the Gay, Lesbian & Bisexual Community Center of Central Florida. Rudy has some things planned and will be a lot of fun. The meeting starts at 7pm and the address for the Center is 946 N Mills Avenue Orlando Florida 32803.

We are also taking orders for the MuM T-Shirt pictured above. The cost is $12.00 and the order is going to be placed this Friday. So if you want a shirt, please bring your money to the meeting or let me know by email.

Ticket sales for the Fashion Show are going great. We have sold out of all VIP tickets and reserved over half of the regular tickets. We are in our final push, so if you don’t already, you need to get your tickets now. We also need volunteers for selling tickets at Parliament Hous this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If you can help, please let Josh know.
