Carnival night was a huge success! The mumboys were in charge of the dunk tank and it was a blast. We got to dunk Darcel Stevens, Armani and Sassy Devine. Our booth alone raised around $1000 for Hope and Help Center. Thank you to those who volunteered. Your constant dedication is what makes M.U.M. so successful! That’s how much money we raised during Saturday’s Fashion Show to benefit Hope and Help Center of Central Florida. It feels amazing to give back to the community like that and it couldn’t have been done without you.

This Saturday is the annual AIDS Walk Orlando which also benefits Hope and Help. The money raised on Saturday counts towards MUM’s contribution to the AIDS Walk. So far we are the team with the highest amount raised. We are not that far ahead of the second place team though and need everyone’s continued support to help rise more.

We don’t have much time, so every second counts. Ask you friends, family members, co-workers, employers, and anyone you can for a donation. Then go to aidswalkorlando.org to register your donation and specify that you are with Men Uniting Men.

The Fashion Show this past weekend was AMAZING! I hope all of you were there. MUM raised over $3,500 for Hope and Help of Central Florida. Thanks for everyone’s support! You can see the pictures in the photos section of our website.

MUM is having a movie night this Wednesday at 7pm. We are watching the movie about Pedro (from the Real World). We rented out the movie theater at one of our members apartment complexes. Bring drinks and snacks to share. Park Central Apartments at the intersection of John Young Pkwy and Conroy. Tell the guard you are coming to see Mustafa. You can contact Mustafa at (407) 694-0137 if you need directions once you get to the apartment complex.

Also, dont forget. This coming weekend is the AIDS Walk Orlando. Every year MUM gets together and marches for this great event! We raise money to help and we walk to represent! We have friends that are affected or infected with this disease…. let’s make a difference. If you need a donation envelope, please let us know. Meet us there at 8:30 in front of the DJ Booth, Lake Eola, Downtown.
